What a day

Today we went to find morels but didn't. we did find several other things like cattail shoots and Burdock roots. It was are first time harvesting them so we where careful identifying them.

Wild Leeks

We went out looking for morels Today. We didn't find any, so we got back in the brush and dug up a few pounds of really nice wild leeks (or ramps, they're sometimes called).

First Harvest of 2007

We found a bunch of fiddlehead ferns ready to harvest on this afternoon. Dad, Dani and I picked close to seven pounds of them.
